Crickettrainers 2010 en ander cricketnieuws

Het bestuur is bijzonder verheugd dat het de samenwerking met Ben Williams en Mike Dighton voor het komende seizoen heeft weten te continueren. Mike zal als trainer/coach van het eerste optreden, terwijl Ben, net als vorig seizoen, verantwoordelijk is voor de andere seniortrainingen en alle trainingen van de jeugdteams. Uiteraard zal hij daarbij geassisteerd worden door Mike, één of twee exchange spelers en V.O.C. vrijwilligers.

Tim de Kok is geslaagd voor het examen cricketcoaching level 1. Tim, van harte gefeliciteerd en we hopen veel gebruik van je trainingscapaciteiten te kunnen (blijven) maken.

Ben Goedegebuur zal komend seizoen de V.O.C. kleuren weer gaan verdedigen. Wij zijn bijzonder verheugd dat Ben deze verstandige beslisssing heeft genomen en wensen hem uiteraard heel veel succes toe.

Afgelopen donderdag bracht de nieuwe directeur van de KNCB een bezoek aan V.O.C. Hij stuurde onderstaand bericht om ons voor de gastvrijheid te bedanken:

Dear Lau

I just wanted to say many thanks for inviting me to your club for hosting me so well and also for arranging the various people to be there on the night. I found it very useful and I hope they all found some of it interesting.

The clubs are a big part of retaining and improving the status of Netherlands Cricket and I hope we (as in everyone at the kncb) can keep in close contact with you over the coming months as we move through an exciting season ahead.

Please wish all the players whether young or old, male or female, 1st team or veterans of the game every good wish for the Summer. Please do not hesitate to contact me at anytime should you wish to.

I would be grateful if you would forward this email to as many people as possible at the club in an effort to broaden the communication links and to express my thanks to them all.

Komend seizoen zal V.O.C gastheer zijn van tenminste 10 grote internationale wedstrijden. Noteert u vast de volgende dagen:

Dinsdag 15 juni: NedXI – Schotland Officiele ODI-match

Zondag 22 augustus: NedXI – Northants in kader ECB Pro40 competitie

Donderdag 26 aug: NedXI – Gloucester in kader ECB Pro40 competitie

Tevens worden er op 29 juni, 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 en 10 juli zeven wedstrijden op V.O.C. gespeeld voor het World Champions Devision 1 toernooi.
